EDC Orlando is one of the biggest electronic festivals in the United States, and it is a night festival, which changes everything about how you dress for it. It runs 6 to 8 November 2026 at Tinker Field in Orlando, three nights of main-stage headliners, art cars and carnival rides, with gates opening in the early evening and the music running past 2am. That is the thing to plan around. Florida in November is warm and humid when you walk in, but you are standing on an open field until the small hours, and by 2am it has dropped a long way. You are dressing for a hot, sweaty peak and a cool, damp comedown in the same night. This guide is the short version of what actually works, plus twelve pieces we make that suit it. Why a hoodie at a warm festival
It sounds backwards to pack a hoodie for Florida, until you have stood on an open field at 2am in a t-shirt soaked from the peak of the night. The temperature at EDC Orlando does not stay where it is when you walk in. You arrive in the warm and the humidity, you sweat through the headliners, and then the crowd thins, the air off the field turns cool, and the last hour plus the walk to the rideshare lot is genuinely cold when you are damp and running on no sleep.
A hoodie is the fix that does not cost you anything at the peak. You tie it round your waist while it is hot, you have both hands free to dance, and it is there the second you need it. It also solves the Florida wildcard, which is rain. A sudden shower rolls through, a hood goes up, and you keep moving instead of buying a bin-bag poncho you will lose an hour later. One light-to-mid weight hoodie covers the cool-down, the rain and the comedown, and it packs down to nothing while you do not need it.
Dress for the field, not the photo
Tinker Field is a big open site and you will cover serious ground across the stages, easily 15,000 steps a night, on grass and dirt that turns to mud if it rains. This is a footwear decision before it is anything else. Wear trainers that are already broken in and that you genuinely do not mind destroying, because they are going to get stepped on, dusty and probably wet. Brand-new white sneakers will be ruined by the first night and you will spend the weekend babysitting them instead of dancing.
The rave-fashion side is real and part of the fun, but it has to survive nine hours on your feet. Whatever you wear over your outfit needs to move, breathe and take a beating. The people still smiling at 3am are the ones who dressed for comfort first and let the rest be expression on top. Pick pieces you can sweat in, sit on the grass in, and get rained on in, and you free up all your attention for the only thing that matters, which is the music.
Rave fashion that lasts till 2am
Kandi, fits and colour are the culture at EDC Orlando and nobody is telling you to tone that down. The trick is building the look around one or two pieces that actually hold up. A heavyweight tee that does not cling when it is soaked, a hoodie that reads as part of the fit rather than an afterthought, and bottoms you can move in will carry you further than a delicate outfit that looks incredible in the car park and is misery by midnight. Darker pieces hide a full night on them better than white. And because you are checking bags and moving through crowds all night, the less you are carrying and the more you are wearing, the better.
What not to wear
Fresh white sneakers on a dusty, possibly muddy field. Anything you would be genuinely upset to lose or ruin, because things get dropped, spilled and rained on across a three-night festival. Too little to stay warm at 2am, because the field gets cold and you cannot always leave the moment you want to. And anything stiff or restrictive, because you are on your feet and moving for hours and clothes that look sharp standing still get unbearable fast when you are actually dancing in them. The whole game is dressing so you never think about what you are wearing again once you are through the gates.

Getting around the festival
Tinker Field is right by downtown Orlando, so most people arrive by rideshare rather than driving and parking. Build in real time for the drop-off and pick-up, because a festival this size floods the rideshare lots at the end of the night and the wait at 2am is long and cold. Screenshot the site map and the set times before your phone dies, agree a meeting point with your group, and carry a portable charger. Hydration is not optional at a festival this warm, so plan for the water stations and pace yourself across three nights rather than emptying the tank on night one.

What is the dress code for EDC Orlando?
There is no formal dress code beyond the festival’s own rules, so wear what you want, and the culture leans expressive: rave fashion, kandi and colour. In practice the smart move is to build that look around comfort, because it is a night festival on an open field for three nights. A heavyweight tee, a hoodie you can tie on and off, bottoms you can move in and trainers you don’t mind trashing will get you happily to 2am.
How cold does it get at night?
Warmer than you expect at the start and colder than you expect at the end. Orlando in early November is around 26 to 28°C in the early evening and can drop to 17 to 18°C by the small hours, and it feels colder when you are damp with sweat and tired. That swing is the whole reason to bring a layer.
Can you wear a hoodie to EDC Orlando?
